[Openvpn-users] Linux kernel 2.4.x

Hi, all.

I'd like to know since what version of the linux kernel 2.4 do the
openvpn work? 2.4.5 has not the correct things in include/linux/if_tun.h

tun.c: In function `tuncfg':
tun.c:103: `TUNSETPERSIST' undeclared (first use in this function)
tun.c:103: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
tun.c:103: for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [tun.o] Error 1

I tried installing the tun packet from vtun.sourceforge.net/tun/, but it
says that no upgrade is needed.
I think since linux kernel 2.4.6 it works fine. Is this right? Do
openvpn work with kernels older than 2.4.6?

[]'s

cassio.
