This is peculiar. It works perfectly on my machine, though with a roadwarrior setup.
I'm using a linux openvpn server with the samba shares, and a windows xp client (should be precisely the same as w2k in those regards).
Does it work on the internal network of the samba machine?

Subject: [Openvpn-users] openvpn & samba

Has anyone had any luck getting a windows computer to connect to a linux samba share via openvpn?

I have a win2k machine at home and a linux machine elsewhere... I have openvpn setup on both using TAP devices.  I can ping from both and seem to have a functional tunnel.

In network neighborhood, I can 'see' the samba shares, but when try to open one, it waits for a long time and says it could not be found.

I have seem partial listings of my files in Ethereal captures from my windows machine....

I even reinstalled windows.  Using no firewall on either machine still causes this problem...

Thanks
