SP-1 fixed a few problems with the NetShell helpers. Are you running
SP-1? I have a pre-SP1 install of XP I will try it out on in a little
while. To help diagnose, after executing 'netsh routing ip ospf
install' execute a 'netsh routing ip ospf dump' command and see what the
output is. It should tell you if it is installed or not. I have a
feeling that the helper is broken and it isn't actually initializing.
Below is a sample dump that I did immediately after an install command.
# ----------------------------------
# OSPF configuration
# ----------------------------------
pushd routing ip ospf
uninstall
install
set global routerid=1.0.0.0 asborder=NO loglevel=ERROR
# Configuration for area 0.0.0.0
add area areaid=0.0.0.0
set area areaid=0.0.0.0 auth=PASSWORD stubarea=NO metric=1 sumadv=NO
popd
# End of OSPF configuration
i take it by NetShell you mean in the netsh shell?
yes.
