[Openvpn-users] OpenVPN 1.5-beta12 released

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] OpenVPN 1.5-beta12 released

The 1.5 beta series is rapidly approaching release-candidate status, so don't
hesitate to stress the code or report bugs. I'm especially interested in
feedback on the --ifconfig option on Windows, which is relatively new code,
and has shown a propensity in the past for failing in difficult-to-test ways.

This release contains minor fixes, including a naming convention change, and a
--mktun/--rmtun bug fix for Linux.

The naming convention change is designed to work around problems with RPM. So
rather than naming the tarball:

  openvpn-1.5-beta12.tar.gz

as has been the tradition thus far in the 1.5 beta series, we instead use:

  openvpn-1.5_beta12.tar.gz

This lets you easily build a binary RPM with the command:

  rpmbuild -tb openvpn-1.5_beta12.tar.gz
