Are you using 2.0-beta2 on both sides of connection?
i'd suggest using this too, it has a build in sort of DHCP
I beleave this has something to do with the ifconfig-pool server
option. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work. That is, i have
included an ifconfig-pool option in the server config and pushing some
DHCP options (like domainname and internal office DNS) and ip-win32
dynamic to the client, but the client (or server?) will not choose an
IP address from this pool.
If the dynamic ifconfig-pool would work, I would be just as happy.
Then there is no need to use the office DHCP server anyway, because I
could configure it to never assign a dynamic IP address from the range
I assign to the ifconfig-pool.
What options (client AND server) do I need to take advantage of the
internal DHCP server of the openvpn software and assign an IP from the
ifconfig-pool?
i used the config files for tun from the 2.0 release notes. I get an IP
address in that range
