[Openvpn-users] Newbie Physical vs Virtual question

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] Newbie Physical vs Virtual question

Hi All,

I am working with the Windows version of OpenVPN-1.6.0.

In my network connections, I have two Ethernet adapters
and one Ethernet dialer (modem). This makes for three
"phisical" network adapters.

After installing OpenVPN, I now have a new "virtual" network
adapter (TAP-Win32 Adapter) to run my tunnel through.

Question: how does OpenVPN know to tell my virtual,
TAP-Win32 Adapter which "physical" adapter to use?

    I am confused. :-[

Many thanks,
