Really really dumb question and I am sorry but I have looked around site
for specific OS X instructions and couldn't find them or with the
tarball.

I downloaded tarball, unzipped and when I ran ./configure  - it ended in
error, no acceptable C compiler in $PATH

so I ran echo $PATH and it returned 
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin

10.3.4 Macintosh
tarball 1.60

Are there some specific instructions that I am missing?
Anyone want to toss a bone to a Linux guy trying to compile on
Macintosh?
