I have a working version running of the next release, in which I use redirection of stdin/stdout/stderr to supply openvpn with the passphrase via the normal psw prompt, so no patch is required. It just needs some code cleanup and better error-checking, and some more testing, but I'll probably release it tonight or tomorrow. So, if no one else has found other uses for the passphrase patch, I don't see the need for getting it applied. I'm also looking into creating a patch for openvpn so it will print a log message as the last step when connecting (after routes has been added to the system) so we can report "Connected", when the system is really ready to route traffic to the remote end. James, any idé where to put this, so it works with all configurations? I've also included a version check of openvpn.exe in the next version of the GUI, so it will work with any version of OpenVPN without a special build for old versions. (Tested with 1.5.0, 1.6.0, 2.0-beta4, 2.0-beta7 and 2.0-beta10). -- _____________________________________________________________ Mathias Sundman (^) ASCII Ribbon Campaign NILINGS AB X NO HTML/RTF in e-mail Tel: +46-(0)8-666 32 28 / \ NO Word docs in e-mail |
