Hi Mathias,

  I just installed openvpn-2.0_beta11-gui-1.0-beta19-install.exe
in d:\Program Files\OpenVPN\w2k. When I start up openvpn-gui.exe
from D:\Program Files\OpenVPN\w2k\bin, I get the following
error message:

  CreateProcess Failed, exe='C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\bin\
  openvpn.exe' cmdline='openvpn --version' dir='C:\Program
  Files\OpenVPN\bin'

You must have had a previous version of OpenVPN GUI installed on this system in C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\bin.

The bug was that the old registry values were not deleted by uninstalling the previous version of OpenVPN GUI. Will fix for beta20.

Or, perhaps when installing a new version over another, the paths in the registry should be overwritten?

Hi Mathias,

As you predicted, I had it previously installed on C:. I had also
done an add/remove program on it before I install on D:. Checking
my C: drive, Add/remove left a bunch of stuff behind, which is now
deleted.

Am I the only one who things add/remove should be renamed
"add/almost remove" or "add/nearly remove" or "add/sort-of-remove?"
But, that is a posting for another group. :'(

Thank you for the quick response! :-)
