I'd be inclined to make the change before 2.0 final is released.  Any other
opinions?

I agree, make the switch in next beta. It will probably break things for some but it has to be done, and I think waiting will only make it worse.


Perhaps you could add a warning log message about this, to the last beta releases, and maybe remove it for 2.0 final.

Is the IANA approved port valid for both UDP and TCP?
