[Openvpn-users] Basic Routing Question

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] Basic Routing Question

Ok, I think I solved the connection reset problems, using all the same subnets. I’ve made changes, and understand the theory of different subnets, but now I need to apply it practically. I have a persistent connection now, but can’t really do anything with it.

DSL

|

Wireless Router - 192.168.0.200 Gateway/LAN Address

|

Linux Box/Firewall/VPN – 192.168.0.100 Eth0 Address/192.168.1.0 VPN subnet

|

LAN with subnet of 192.168.0.0/24

How do I set up server.conf to route this properly? Do I need to set up routes in the OS also, or will openvpn take care of routing?  What do I need to configure to make Windows shares?

I know these are academic and rudimentary, and I appreciate your patience and information.

Thanks,

Steve
