Get a fatter internet link if you transfer alot of traffic including broadcast, you will need some upload bandwidth. In fact, this is the
most common i have encountered while dealing with vpn performence.

Most isp offer much more download bandwidth than upload.

Check your upload speed :)

Hello Leonard,
thank for your answer!
No I didn't trie routing because that's why I did bridging I liked to prevent setting the routing table. Do you think I should trie routing. Is this the effort worth?
And if the broadcasts slow down the connection what can be done to speed it up? The Computer is on one side 1800+ with 512MB Ram and on the other side 1400Mhz with 1Gig Ram and the CPus are not overloaded.

Hello
Im using ethernet bridging over a 1000kbit DSL connection and everythings
working fine. except the Speed
(OpenVPN 2.0 Win32-MinGW [SSL] [LZO] built on Apr 17 2005)
A file with 1Mbyte needs about one minute to be transfered
that's about 100kbit/sec
is there any solution to speed it up?
or are the newer versions faster?
Thanks for your help

Bridging means that broadcasts can clutter up the connection. Have you tried routing? What do the metrics look like on each side cpu utilization, memory utilization swap, etc.?
