Hi all,
Here is my network configuration:
PC1 <----> LB1 <----------> R1 <---> R3 <----------> LB2 <--------> PC2

------> R2 <---> R4 <------
PC1: windows XP, 192.168.2.1 gw 192.168.2.254
LB1: linux width load balancing,
- 192.168.2.254
- 192.168.8.254
- 192.168.10.254
with 2 gateways: 192.168.8.1 and 192.168.10.1
R1: 192.168.8.1 and 81.23.32.137
R2: 192.168.10.1 and 81.23.32.138
R3: 81.23.32.139 and 192.168.6.1
R4: 81.23.32.140 and 192.168.7.1
LB2: linux with load balancing
- 192.168.5.254
- 192.168.6.254
- 192.168.7.254
with 2 gateways: 192.168.6.1 and 192.168.7.1
PC2: 192.168.5.177 gw 192.168.5.254
Now, i have setup two vpn, the first one passing through R1-R3 and the second one passing through R2-R4. I can connect the two vpn at the same time but trafic only goes through one vpn since routes are inserted first in routing table.
First question, is it possible to make trafic going through the two vpn ?
Now, imagine trafic is going through R1-R3 and i disconnect the link before LB1 and R1. Trafic is interrupted and it can't pass through the other vpn since there are always routes for the first vpn.
Second question, why are routes inserted even if vpn is not connected ? Is it possible to insert routes in routing table only if vpn is connected ?
I have seen http://openvpn.net/howto.html#loadbalance but i don't really understand. Can i use this type of configuration to do what i want to do?
