[Openvpn-users] tap tunnel and dhcpd to set IP

Dear openvpn friends,

I have a problem with my openvpn tunnel via tap device. Before I have
left out ``server-bridge 10.8.0.1 255.255.255.0 10.8.0.100 10.8.0.199''
from the ``server'' configuration file and replace this with a dhclient
call over the tap device. That worked perfectly for me. After a
computer reboot of the server, this does not work anylonger. I can see
that the connection is build up perfectly, but calling the dhcpd daemon
via the tap device does not work. I puzzled why the udp packages are
not reaching the server side. Of course I have switched off the
firewall to be sure that nothing would reject the packages. The
workaround is again the inclusion of ``server-bridge 10.8.0.1 255.255.255.0
10.8.0.100 10.8.0.199'' into the configuration file. Then I do not need
to run the dhclient anymore and the tunnel is fine again. But this is
certainly not what I prefer.

Does anybody have a working dhclient via tap setup? Is she or he
willing to share the client and server configuration files with us?
