Hi, I have openvpn client installed on a windows 2000 machine at work and openvpn server on a dd-wrt linksys router at home. Everything is working beautifully but I would like to make a minor tweak. When I open up the wireshark packet analyzer on the TAP Win32 adapter on my work computer I notice that all DNS requests from my work computer are sent to my vpn server. For example when I type "openvpn.net" into my work browser the DNS request is sent to my server at home. I would like to tweak my setup to force the client not to send DNS requests to the vpn server. I believe I should, perhaps, be "pushing" a DHCP option from the server to the client during
initialization or putting something in the client ovpn file but I'm not sure what. Any pointers to a web page would be helpful. (Also I believe I might be asking pretty much the same question in Gary Martin's post from yesterday but I don't know much about networking and there is no response to his query yet. Sorry if this is a duplicate. )
Thanks, Al
